This quiz, Ísland í ESB, is a small frontend-only site. The operator of the site is the controller of personal data processed through it.
Your answers and score live in the page URL, not in a database on our servers. Sharing a result link shares that URL. Language preference is also kept in the URL.
We store your analytics choice in localStorage on this device so we do not ask every time. That is only to remember consent.
If you accept, we load Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4. They set cookies such as _ga and send Google your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, language, quiz score, and which questions you got right or wrong.
We use this to count visitors, completions, and which questions are hard. We do not use ads, and we do not sell the data.
Legal basis: consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can reject and still use the quiz. You can change your mind later under Cookie settings.
Google Ireland Limited (and Google LLC in the United States) process this as our processors. Data may be transferred to the US under Google’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Retention follows the Google Analytics setting on this property (typically 2 or 14 months of event data).
We do not load Google Tag Manager or Analytics. No analytics cookies are set. The quiz works the same.
You can withdraw consent at any time, and you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, or object to processing. You can complain to the Icelandic Data Protection Authority, Persónuvernd (personuvernd.is).
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which can see your IP address. That request is separate from Analytics and currently loads with the page.
